I know people Who worked way up from the bottom to the top that were pushed out like nothing only for everyone to realize how much they were really needed.

Applic Former Employee - Vista - March 27, I worked there, for a couple of years, I had the flexibility I needed to do my work at the beginning, and I was a very productive contributor, but all of a sudden they changed management and put a micro manager guy overseeing engineers, and this guy was a pain in the but came checking in the back what I had on my monitor , and my flexibility ended as a consequence, and this affected me tremendously.

In the end, I was glad I left this company, pay is competitive, but when you mess up with flexibility and lack of trust it's just simply bad. A great group doing the best they can and management that is out of control, vindictive, small minded and just not good.
