You'll round up with a drink at the famous United Coffee House. This morning, you'll visit Nizamuddin, a 14th-century village that feels predominantly urban with 20, residents in narrow lanes. You'll walk around with a local guide from the hope project. Afterwards, you'll visit Khan market for some lunch. In the afternoon you'll take some time to relax at your hotel before being picked up again to take a fascinating street food tour of Old Delhi by cycle rickshaw.

After lunch and checking in at your hotel you will be able to visit the Taj Mahal, the premier iconic site in the whole of India and deservedly so. Check into your hotel, and there is time to relax or explore if you are keen. Jaipur is a riot of colour, and as the capital of Rajasthan, it's a hectic place with buzzing spice markets and streets filled with multicoloured saris and rampaging rickshaw drivers. The rural location should be a very welcome respite from the hectic bustle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

The historic fort itself is now a hotel and will be your base here. Your stay at Fort Barli will be like a home from home, and you will be well looked after. You'll travel today towards Jodhpur and your base 40 miles outside in a sleepy place called Rohet. This incredible site is best seen from the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, the largest fort in Rajasthan, which looms over m above the city. There is time to stroll through the winding alleyways of the Old City and visit the numerous palaces, temples and havelis that are scattered throughout. Back to Rohet for a relaxing later afternoon in blissful peace. You might like to do a cooking class here and enjoy the spoils afterwards.

A 4-hour journey takes you to the most romantic of cities in a state full of them: Udaipur, set on Lake Pichola.
